Seek Week

August 25-29, 2025

Seek Week • August 25-29, 2025 •

  • Welcome to Seek Week!

We are excited to spend time corporately pursuing God together, humbling ourselves through fasting, and praying specific prayers for what He has in store for us as individuals and as a church this year. This is a great time to include others from your family, small group, and SERVE Team in seeking God together. You will find fasting suggestions, daily prayer prompts, and more resources below.

  • MULTIPLY

2025 is a year of personal and collective MULTIPLY - God moving in us and through us in such a way that the individuals around us are measurably changed, resulting in transformation in families, work and school environments, and our neighborhoods. This Seek Week is about each one of us catching our individual “multiply” call and being empowered through the Church to walk it out.

    “Multiply” = “Rabah” = “Great Reward; Great Blessing”;

it speaks to the impact and influence God can bring through an individual and a community of Believers on those around them.

Genesis 1:27-28 “So God created man in his own image…And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply…”

Genesis 12:2 I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

Genesis 17:2-3 “...I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, 2that I may make My covenant between Me and you, and may multiply you greatly.”

Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

Choose Your Fast

  • Liquid Fast.

Take in only water or other liquids for the entirety of the fast while devoting more time to seeking God.

  • Meal Fast.

Choose a meal a day to fast and dedicate that meal time to seeking God.

  • Combination.

Create your own fasting rhythm that includes periods of both liquid and meal fasts.

  • Why Should You Fast?

(From Dr. Bill Bright's "Your Personal Guide to Fasting")

Fasting is one of the Spirit’s tools for strengthening and transforming grace in our lives. This spiritual practice is a gift from God meant to grow us and draw us into a deepening relationship with Him. If you do not already know this power and the importance of fasting, here are some insights drawn from God’s Word and personal experience to get you started:

Fasting was an expected practice in both the Old and New Testament eras. For example, Moses fasted for at least two recorded 40-day periods. Jesus fasted 40 days and reminded His followers to fast. He said, “When you fast,” not, “If you fast” (Matthew 6:16).

Fasting and prayer can restore the loss of your “first love” for the Lord (Revelation 2:4) and result in a more intimate relationship with Christ.

Fasting is a biblical way to truly humble yourself in the sight of God (Ezra 8:21). King David said, “I ... humbled myself with fasting” (Psalm 35:13, New International Version).

Fasting enables the Holy Spirit to reveal your true spiritual condition, resulting in brokenness, repentance and a transformed life.

Through fasting, the Holy Spirit will imprint God’s Word deeper on your heart, and His truth will become more meaningful to you.

Fasting can transform your prayer life into a richer and more personal experience.

Fasting can result in a dynamic personal revival and make you a channel of life change to others.

FOLLOW THE DAILY PRAYER & JOURNAL GUIDE

Monday

  • PRAY - Abide in Christ. Invite Jesus into every part of your day and every part of your life. Do life WITH God, not just FOR God. Ask for the Fruit of the Spirit to mark you.

  • READ - John 15:1-8; Galatians 5:22-23

  • WRITE - List out the Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5 and write notes for each one on how you see God bringing this out of you in your daily life. Ask God to grow you in the aspects of the Fruit of the Spirit where you feel you are lacking.

Tuesday

  • PRAY - Search my heart for any area that isn’t fully surrendered to You.

  • READ - Psalm 139; Matthew 16:24-27; 2 Chronicles 16:9

  • WRITE - Ask the Holy Spirit to point out any behaviors, beliefs, and/or attitudes that could be hindering your ability to walk closely to Jesus and do life WITH Him?

Wednesday

  • PRAY - God, what seeds have been planted in my heart that are now bearing fruit? God help the seeds planted in me to grow according to your ways and timing.

  • READ - John 4:7-38; Matthew 13:18-23; 1 Corinthians 3:7-9; Galatians 6:6-9

  • WRITE - You are reaping today from the seeds you’ve sown in the past. What are you sowing right now that you will reap in the next few weeks, months, and years?

Thursday

  • PRAY - Who are the specific people You have placed around me who are open to You and would benefit from hearing what You have done and are doing in my life?

  • READ - Acts 1:8; Mark 13:10-11; Acts 8:26-38, John 4:39-42, Romans 10:8-17

  • WRITE - Who are you intentionally praying for to come to know God? Who will you share with this week about all that God has done and is doing in your life? As we add a 3rd service, who are you inviting to church now that we have made room for them?

Friday

  • PRAY - Pray for Harvest…and for ‘laborers’ - Pray for a harvest to come to Manna this Fall and for God to raise up leaders to disciple them and multiply the fruit.

  • READ - Matthew 9:36-38; Matthew 9:3-9 & 18-23; Matthew 28:18-20, Deuteronomy 6:4-7
