February News

Aloha, Manna fam! We’re into the second month of 2024 and we’ve already been having an AMAZING start to the year. From Seek Week to kicking off the Reach Out Celebration to a new small groups cycle and a month full of awesome outreaches, God is moving and we’re excited to tell you about it here!

Outreach is Who We Are, Not What We Do

ROC is one of our favorite times of the year here at Manna Church! This is when we get to celebrate outcomes from our 2023 outreaches, to see interviews with our ministry partners and outreach leaders, and to share our vision and plan for how we can change the world in 2024!

Our theme this year is "For the One." Join us for the Reach Out Celebration to find out what this means for you!

Are you looking for a place to belong?!

Good News! Our new small group cycle has just BEGUN. Our Spring cycle lasts from Jan 22nd-May 17th.

We believe that our quality of life is determined by the quality of our relationships. That’s why everything we do at Manna is done through small groups! All of our interest-based groups, Sunday SERVE Teams, MannaYouth groups, Growth Track groups, and Dream Center/Outreach groups provide the opportunity to be in life-giving relationships.

We know that joining a group or team for the first time can be intimidating, so our groups run in seasonal cycles in the Spring, Summer, and Fall/Winter. This way, you can try out different groups or teams to find the place that fits you best.

We are confident in the life transformation that happens when we choose to go from being alone to being a part of a community.

We invite YOU to join us this Spring in an interest-based group, Sunday SERVE Team, MannaYouth group, Growth Track group, or Dream Center/Outreach group. SIGN UP and a Manna leader will connect with you. We cannot wait to see you get connected!

Join us to Love the World

Amazing things are happening at the Manna Dream Center! We launched the new year with our January 4 Serve Saturday OutreachesFeeding The Homeless in Kapolei, AccesSurf at White Plains Beach and the Beach Cleanup at Nimitz. Additionally, our teams served weekly at the Onelau’ena transitional homeless shelter in the Greater Hope Boutique, Garden To Table, and Sidewalk Chalk projects. We also hosted our first 2 Maui Fire Relief Mission trips of the year in partnership with Anchor Church and a team of their men, Adult & Teen Challenge Maui and River of Life Mission.

Please pray and consider joining the Dream Center Team for our 2024 Serve Saturdays, other outreaches, or short term missions trips. Your life will never be the same. We are believing God for more in 2024 — more people reached with the love of Jesus Christ, with no strings attached.

MannaKids

This month in ELEMENTARY our keiki are learning that everybody has a part to play! God doesn’t play favorites–He welcomes everyone who chooses to follow Jesus into His family. Each person has a special way to serve God and others that will keep the body healthy and sharing the love of Jesus with the whole world. When we come together, listen to each other, and respect each other, we can remember what is the same for all of us: Jesus loves us, we love Him, and He helps us love each other so we can share Jesus’ love with the world.

Parents, looking for a way to engage your family with God throughout the week? Try out this awesome plan on the Bible App that corresponds to what we’re learning, designed for kids and parents to do together!

In NURSERY and PRESCHOOL, our youngest keiki are learning that God cares and shares, and they can too! Through the Roof teaches your keiki about the love and healing power of Jesus, and the faith we can have in Him. You can find this story and all our Sunday morning stories on the Bible App for Kids and follow along at home! Our monthly videos are also available on the MannaKids page of our website, so you can watch and learn together at home just like we do on Sunday mornings.

MannaYouth

We had an awesome MannaYouth Rally on on January 26th for our 6th-12th graders. Check out some highlights in this video:

You can stay informed about everything that’s going on in MannaYouth through our Instagram feed or on our website!

1 Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach. 2 This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people—even eating with them! 3 So Jesus told them this story: 4 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. 6 When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!

(Luke 15:1-7 NLT)
