Meet Petey & Desiree:
“We started attending Manna at the end of January 2023 with the intentions of finding a church community we could be a part of. Our first service happened to be on a Connect Sunday, which was the perfect opportunity for us to discover how we could be involved in SERVING, GROWING, and CONNECTING at Manna.
“Since then, we had the honor of serving our community with the SERVE Team at beach clean ups, feeding the homeless, painting a High School classroom and serving at the Onelau’ena Shelter Kid’s club, movie night, and property clean up. We also completed growth track and got connected in a marriage small group. The wealth of wisdom we have gleaned and the friendships we have developed in growth track and small group are invaluable and exactly what we needed for this season of transition in our lives.
“We know God never intended for us to do it alone. Psalm 68:6 says God places the lonely in families… No matter what season you find yourself in, God wants to surround you with people you can do life with. Manna can be that place of community and Ohana for you as it has been for us. Joining the SERVE Team, a Growth track group, and small group has been a wonderful experience for us!” (Petey & Desiree Tellez).

An Update on Maui
Much of what we've been doing to support Maui relief has been through our friends at Grace Bible Church Maui. As you continue to pray, here is an update that Pastor Jonavan shared with us:
Pastor Shawn & our Manna Church family ,
We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support by the Body of Christ and the local CHURCH! Thank you so much for your incredible generosity and for partnering with us here on Maui.
There is so much devastation on the island of Maui. It is beyond belief and beyond what the media is showing. What you can't see in the media is the grief and despair that people are carrying deep in their hearts. It's a spirit of hopelessness that is hitting those who lost everything.
In the midst of disaster, the people of God are showing inspirational faith, courage and leadership. We truly are witnessing LIGHT in the midst of darkness. Our church is flooded with people from our community who are serving and helping. Our first response was to provide shelter, food and much needed resources to our Maui families in need. We transported supplies by land, air and sea to get to people in crisis.
Now that larger agencies are flying in to cover these areas, we are pivoting to focus on children who are displaced and starting school this week. We are working to provide school supplies, athletic gear, meals, after school care and counseling. We are giving funds directly into the hands of the families affected.
While continuing to operate as a resource center in preparing meals and providing resources, we are now adding the much needed ministry to children. The need is constantly changing and evolving. It is a long road ahead and this is just the beginning.
Thank you for holding us up! Because of you, God is being glorified! This is a time for the church to shine in the darkness and we couldn't do it without you!

Serve Saturday is the first Saturday of every month! We also have several other serve opportunities you can jump into throughout the month to show God’s love to the world in tangible ways. Here are just a few of the projects happening in September:

Have you noticed how many orange bags have been in people’s arms lately on Sunday mornings? It’s because we’ve had SO MANY guests at Manna, and we’re so thrilled for the opportunity to get to reach more and more people with the love of God. Huge shout out to our roadsigns team for faithfully setting up our a-frame signs all around town, inviting people to come to church with us! So many people have found their way to Manna because of those signs!!
Another way we’re getting to invite people to join us and to help them see the life that happens here at Manna is Google, when they search for “churches near me.” This is where you come in!
